The album was fine and enjoyable, but I don't think it is something that I would listen to a lot. Felt a bit too heavy for me.

I don't have a lot to say about this, I just think it's a really good album. I love their previous album Deja Entendu a lot and this is a clear progression from that. The lyrics feel a lot more mature and well thought out. They're dark and depressing but they take you somewhere and don't just state the obvious. The blend between acoustic and electric guitar is really well done and helps pace the album a lot. You can really feel the emotion thrown into the album, but it's not just the standard pop punk or emo sound of its time. I think Brand New are still going strong to this day because they were able to evolve and bring in influences from other genres that helped make it stand out. I really love how the album goes quiet and reflective and then explodes throughout. I can tell I'm going to listen to this album a lot.
