Expected it to be worse, wasn't awful. I think the length was perfect for the content. If it was longer I would have been planning my suicide.
It was enjoyable but nothing amazing. I'll probably give it another listen at some point though. Best song is definitely D.R.U.G.S.
Pleasantly surprised by this album, wasn't sure what it was going to be like. Haven't enjoyed the other instrumental albums that I have listened to so far as I found them fairly dull and boring, however I really enjoyed this one.
I mean, I didn't hate the album, but its not something I would choose to listen to. Not big on the whole screeching thing.
I enjoyed it.
This was a pretty interesting listen. The 1min 21sec song called Whip is literally just whips. The vocals on the album were beautiful though. Overall I did really enjoy this album.
This would have problem been a 5, however the song "A Space Boy Dream" really brought me out of it. I think that was mainly because of my dislike of listening to the scottish accent. Other than that it's a great album.
Overall it was a pretty nice album, didn't really know what to expect, since the last time I heard a beyonce song was years ago on the the top 40.
It was a pretty good album. Didn't really feel like it needed that vince staples feature at the end, didn't fit in imo, and didn't add much
Really good album.
The album was fine and enjoyable, but I don't think it is something that I would listen to a lot. Felt a bit too heavy for me.
I agree Symphony Boptano, 9/10. Was between a blue and green. Really good. Recommend.
Its honestly amazing how they managed to release another album of this quality so soon after SATURATION. This is just as good as SATURATION, will need more time to decide if its better or not. Got me hyped for SATURATION III, which is apparently dropping before the year is over.
I did enjoy the album, however it wasn't as good as the first 2. I found it to be overall more boring than than the first 2, it was also more poppy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. They tried to change it up from the first 2 albums, which I do think is a good thing. Furthermore the final track on this one was not as good as the other closing tracks, although the loop at the end of the closing track was a nice touch though. I think my favorite tracks have to be BOOGIE, STAINS and BLEACH.
I've been really burnt out on brockhampton for a while now. The album is still good, but the burn out is real. J'OUVERT is a banger though
Such a nice relaxing album
Really good album. Biggest problem with it is the fact its not on spotify. :(
Didn't really do anything for me, might give it another chance. One of the tracks sounded like the soundtrack Die Another Day
It was a pretty good album. I fuck with synth, but nothing stood out as amazing for me. Enjoyable for sure though. I like the fact that I don't notice a Scottish accent when listening to this, I just don't enjoy Scottish accents in songs. Not a big fan of when the guy/s are singing either. Least favourite song is probably "Playing Dead". The slow song at the end was really nice, overall nb.
the closest artist I can think to clipping. is Danny Brown. If you like him, you will like clipping.
I enjoyed all of the album, except "Tonight". Really didn't care for that track
Really enjoyed this album, had a similar sound to Frank Ocean kinda.
The album was alright. What brought the score down the most for me though was the length. I listened to the deluxe edition that has 22 songs, even the original edition has 19 songs. I think that's pushing it a bit with length.
Apparently cancer does grow on you :^)
Couldn't make it to the second CD, not for me. Acquired taste i think.
Pretty short EP, but it counts I guess. Just kinda what I expected from Denzel Curry. Wish Hate Government was longer. Also "Bitch I am a megazord".
Great album, Curry is such a solid rapper. Didn't like the beginning of Sick & Tired, a minute of talking kinda ruins it. Otherwise great album though. Recommend
Found it to be a lot weaker than his latest 2 projects. Lyrically it was much weaker I felt. It was still good, but I doubt I'll listen to it much again.
The album was enjoyable, and the rap was good enough. It just didn't do anything for me, didn't make me feel any sort of way.
Found this instrumental album a lot more repetitive than the others I have listened to recently, so each song kinda got boring really fast. The songs are nice for the first minute or 2, but it just kinda grinds out.
I initially reviewed this album as a 4, but its become an album I really love. So I've moved it up to a 5
For me Get To Heaven would be a 5 now, this album doesn't really come close to Get To Heaven for me. Its still a good album, but not something I would listen to often, there are a couple of tracks that I liked, I enjoyed the first song Night of the Long Knives.
This was a really nice album, although it was really long (2+ hrs), and fairly hard to find a decent copy to listen to. I would recommend giving it a listen.
This album is very similar to Loveless by My Bloody Valentine, so if you enjoyed that album you will enjoy this. Only slight problem I had with it was during Magnificent Oblivion. had a bit that I just didn't like.
It was alright, nothing really stood out for me.
Holy shit, its so good
Same problem as the CHON album ages ago, just kinda boring.
Great album, I'm sure with more listens this could turn to a green. Give it a listen.
Definitely need to giveCHON another try, since I think these were kinda similar.
While I find this album pretty hard to listen to in a single session, due to the fact it is 4 20 minute songs. I still really enjoyed it.
This album is so sweet. Really enjoy the song california.
It was a really nice album, was pushing it with the 1hr 12min run time though. Would have benefited from being longer. Favourite songs are Jungle, Best Part, 2
Watched the movie the other day, really good movie, I would recommend it. The soundtrack to it is beautiful as well.
Favourite Song : Narashite
Honestly, the album wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The beats on the tracks tended to be better than the actual lyrics/vocals on them. The artists that have influenced Jaden when making this album were very obvious, I mean watch me is essentially Black Skinhead by Kanye. It follows a similar beat, and the flow is incredibly similar. Would be nice to hear something different. Also I feel the album really didn't need to be 1hr 10mins, it would have worked a lot better as a 40~ minute album, like most others. This didn't really help with my boredom while listening to this. Overall the album isn't bad, I don't think I'll listen to it again, but I'll keep an eye out for whatever stuff he drops, Interested to see how he develops.
After hearing some of him at kendrick, thought I would give him a listen. His music is good, but it's much better live imo. I think with a better sound system I might like it more. Loses something in earphones for me.
Honestly just not a fan of his voice, it's kind of irritating. There were points in songs that his voice didn't irritate me so much, but that was generally for a small amount of time overall. At roughly the half way point I almost quit listening to the album, it was just so boring and unenjoyable. Was thinking this might be a 2, but I was just wishing for the album to end, so has to be a 1.
I thought it was a really enjoyable album, shame it isn't on anything but tidal :))))). Has some great songs in it aswell, No Church in the Wild, Ni**as in Paris, Gotta Have It, Why I Love You, HAM are all great imo.
Didn't know what expect from this album before going in. I chose it because the artwork looked nice, I know, its a great way to choose music. Wasn't a massive fan of Planet Luxury however, just felt like screamo at that point. Overall I was really impressed with the album, I guess you should pick albums based on artwork.
Found the first part of the album pretty boring, picks up towards the middle/end though.
Edit : Went back to the album after Dom rated it, enjoy it a lot more now, great album.
This is pretty much a compilation album, 5 disks, 79 songs. Didn't know where to start with Johnny Cash, so thought why not. After listening to it for 4 hrs, it is definitely a great album, and I'll listen to it again, but broken up instead.
I mean the album was fine, it just didn't do anything for me at all.
An 18 min EP does not need an interlude
Holy shit this is a great album, I particularly like Disorder. Favourite track on the album. Probably because it reminds me of Skate 3
Found the song "Think" through the movie John Wick ages ago. Decided to finally check out the rest of the ep. It was pretty enjoyable.
I've really got to find some bad music to listen to.
It was alright, a couple of the songs were good, but it was mostly forgettable
It is still a solid album, but it's not as good as TPAB. Hard to live up to that tbh.
I've seen a lot of comments saying that Khalid is an industry plant, atleast the music is pretty good.
This may change at a later date
Apple music recommended me this album, enjoyed it a lot.
Not good. It was only 36 minutes but felt much longer. Every song just has lyrics like Gucci Gang. ie, saying the same word 50 times in a row. The beats aren't great, just heavy bass. I don't see the appeal of this album.
Holy fuck this album was just trash. The beats were OK, but incredibly repetitive, and were just kind of the same throughout. The lyrics were fucking horrible, if you can even call them lyrics - "four four four four four four four". Just fucking kill me.
I'm not sure why I enjoy it so much, but I do.
It was nice, wasn't anything amazing, but I would listen to it again.
I have this in my playlist from ages ago, its alright, but I would never choose to listen to it now. It's really just kept in my playlist as I don't like removing songs I used to like
What dom said
It was alright, the rapping was solid. 19 tracks seems a bit many though. Kinda went on a bit, sometimes got boring.
I found the track Heaven's Only Wishful in a playlist, great song. The rest of the album isn't as good, but definitely something I'll listen to again
Initially heard the track "Don't Bother Calling" through spotify discovery. Thought I would give the album a listen. It was a really nice album.
The album was fine, but there were only a couple of songs that stood out, the singles released before the album. The track with Damon Albarn was nice. One of the problems I had with this is that 2 of the songs were from a previous ep. Firefly and Love$ick. While A$AP Rocky is added to Love$ick it still kinda annoys me, make new songs, don't just re use previously released ones.
Dom recommended this album to me not long ago. It's a great. While the sound is really distorted and pretty harsh, it is also really calming. If you are going to listen to this album on bad headphones I feel like you wouldn't get the proper experience. There is so much distortion in their sound that would make it sound bad on cheap headphones. Get some nice earphones/headphones and give it a listen.
I'm not really sure what to say about this album, I just really enjoyed the sound. It made me feel good. Definitely give it a listen.
Wasn't sure how much I was going to like this album at the start, since it started off strange, but it was great. Beautiful album.
Pretty shitty album tbh, heard 2 of his track "lwtgg" & "23" which were really good, this is just bad though.
This was a really good album, but the length kinda loses something for me. I'm not a fan of longer albums
Another recommendation from Dom. First time listening to a full OutKast album. Apparently I've been missing out. So good.
Wasn't a fan of the interludes
Fireflies is the highlight of the album, I'm not saying that Fireflies is a good song, its just that the album is that bad. Its so sweet and chirpy and really irritating.
Not what I expected Pink Floyd to be like at all, not exactly sure what I expected them to be like though. Really enjoyed the album.
I originally gave this album a 3, but I came back to it after a couple of months. My tastes have widened a bit. Really enjoy this album now.
The last song was fucking dreadful and felt a lot longer than 2 minutes
I don't really listened to much electronic anymore, but I used to really enjoy this album. It is still a really solid album imo.
Nothing special about this really.
The name of the band confuses me, there is no screaming.
Saw the album cover on the front of an apple music playlist. Pretty chill electronic music, good background noise
Just not for me really, there were some songs that I enjoyed. For the most part I struggled to get through it though.
I mean I listened to this as a joke. It didn't do anything for me, and it was offensive either. I don't think I'll every listen to it again.
It was nice.
Hero is the best song on this (deluxe version only)
It's alright, nothing special. Nothing I would really consider listening to again. Also what was he thinking with that name change, I know Rich Chigga might have been in slightly poor taste, but cmon, Rich Brian is trash
I've seen a lot of people say that they prefer this album to the previous one, however I thought that Rune the Jewels 2 was a more solid album overall.
I enjoy this album quite a lot, but I'm not sure I would class it as music. I'm sure other people here won't like it.
Was a really nice album, maybe a little long.
Beautiful album, listened to it a couple of times back to back.
It was a really good album, really chill. The only problem I really had with it was the fact it was 2hrs~ long. All songs except one were 6mins+, and the one that wasn't was 5mins.
Really good album, enjoyed it a lot.
Its a strange album, most of the songs are fairly long. I mean one song is 34 minutes. Had to listen to the album in 2 takes, started it at 2am thinking it was short. I enjoyed the album for the most part, but I don't think it is something I could add to my normal playlist, it isn't something that I could really put in with other stuff, since it is pretty different. This is the main reason its a 6 for me. Will probably listen to it again at some point, and put it into another playlist once I've sorted them out.
This album has grown on me so much over time. Such a good album.
It was alright, but there was only a couple of songs on the album that I would listen to often.
I really enjoyed this album. Makes me think I should give Lonerism another listen.
The album was pretty good, nothing outstanding, but it was enjoyable.
The first song was pretty good, but after that nothing else really stood out to me. It was pretty upbeat, enjoyed that.
Good album, enjoyed the songs. Except Kyoto song, I don't fuck with that.
I enjoyed the album, was nice. It should be noted though that I listened to the original version (first 10 songs of the expanded version). Didn't feel like i needed to listen to the extra b sides etc that were added with the expanded version later on. Might go back to listen to those tracks later
It was enjoyable, but it was also 2 hours long. Really brought it down for me, had to listen to it in 2 sessions.
Great album, although tbh everything ive heard from the smiths has been great. Perfect "I want to kill myself" music.
The Smiths are so consistent with their music. Amazing album
This is Dom's favourite album from the Smiths, for me its pretty much the same as The Queen is Dead and Strangeways, Here We Come. I mean thats not a bad thing, because I love those albums.
No point in explaining it really.
It was a nice album, but I wouldn't really listen to many of the songs again.
Such a nice album, feels cosy.
Another instrumental album that I enjoyed. Very nice
Really good, close to a green
Its only 2 songs long, but both songs are really enjoyable.
Definitely his best album so far, really enjoyed it. Also the unofficial title is better. "Scum Fuck Flower Boy"
Perfect is a great song.
I really enjoyed this album, there was a few down moments that were meh. Made me feel good while listening to it. Close to a green,
Might have to give it another listen
Nice to see porter robinson doing something completely different to what he was previously doing.
I enjoyed the album. Ocean man is a massive meme, but its a great meme.
Didn't expect to like this, tried listening to grim in the past. This was really good though.
The normal album was really good, so decided to listen to the deluxe edition songs as well. I wouldn't say they add much to the album, except a large amount of time (13 extra songs). Still very enjoyable though. If you are going to give this a listen, do what I done, non-deluxe then if you enjoy it, deluxe.
The album is pretty much just those generic lo-fi hiphop anime streams you see on youtube. Theres nothing special about it, however for background music, its perfect.
Favourite Song : Again
It was definitely an interesting listen, but not something I could ever see myself coming back to. While I could appreciate some parts of the album, for a lot of it I was waiting for it to end.
Pleasantly surprised by this album, was actually not as bad as I expected it to be. Expected it to be trash after his XXL cypher. The introduction was too edgy for me, and while it was kind of an edgy album overall, it was actually pretty listenable.
First off, I just want to say I'm not a weeb. I actually enjoyed this album quite a lot. When the first song played, I assumed the album was going to be incredibly weeby, this changed as soon as the second song came on. Massive difference between the 2. It's a shame that this album isn't on spotify, was actually kinda difficult to find a place to stream it.
